Paneer,
Kadai Paneer
Ingredients:
- Paneer (Cottage Cheese) - 250 gm
- Capsicum - 1
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 1
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Green chillies - 2
- Turmeric powder - pinch
- Red chilli powder/sambar powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Salt as required
- Grind onion and chillies together. In a pan, add oil and saute the ground paste until the raw smell disappears.
- Cut paneer into small cubes, in a pan add oil and saute paneer until it turns golden brown, then immediately add the paneer cubes in hot water.
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and ground tomato or tomato puree, saute this nicely.
- Then add sambar powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds, and turmeric powder, saute this for 2 minutes.
- When the oil begins to separate, add chopped capsicum and salt. Saute this for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Now add cubed paneer and mix it nicely with the masala.
- Let this be on medium heat for five minutes.
- Serve it with parathas or rotis.
