Gooseberry
Nellikai Satham/ Gooseberry Rice
Ingredients:
- Cooked rice/left over rice - 2 cup
- Gooseberry - 10
- Red chillies - 2
- Green chilli - 1
- channa dal - 1 tsp
- Peanuts - little
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Grate gooseberry, keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add channa dal, red chillies, chopped green chilli, peanuts, saute everything for a minute. Now add grated gooseberry, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Cook this in medium heat, blend cooked rice with the gooseberry mix.
- Serve hot with appalam, chips, or potato curry.
