Lapsi - Gujarati Sweet
Lapsi is somewhat similar to rava kesari in making. Taste is wonderful and it contains goodness of broken wheat.

- Broken wheat/ dhalia - 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Cardamom powder - pinch (i used whole cardamom)
- Raisin - 10
- Cashew - 10
- Chopped almond - little for garnishing
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Add a tsp of ghee in a pan and slightly roast raisin and cashew, keep this aside.
- Heat ghee in the same pan, slightly roast broken wheat for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add water and let wheat cook nicely. This takes about 15 minutes, then add cardamom, sugar, raisin and cashew, cook in low flame for 5 minutes till the ghee separates.
- Garnish it with almonds and serve hot or cold.
- If the lapsi becomes thick, add little milk and reheat for a minute before serving.
