Samba Rava Upma/ Wheat Rava Upma
Ingredients:
- Samba rava - 1 cup
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 1
- Corainder leaves - little
- Green chillies - 1
- Chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - few
- Salt as required
- Water - 11/2 cups
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, when it splutters add urad dal, curry leaves, then add chopped onion and tomato.
- Saute everything for 2 minutes, add slit green chillie and ginger, and coriander leaves.
- Add water, salt, and finally samba rava (wheat rava). Mix everything and close the cooker. Wait for 2 whistles and remove from heat.
- Serve hot with sugar or chutney.
