Samba Rava Upma/ Wheat Rava Upma

Ingredients:
  • Samba rava - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Corainder leaves - little
  • Green chillies - 1
  • Chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves  - few
  • Salt as required
  • Water - 11/2 cups
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, when it splutters add urad dal, curry leaves, then add chopped onion and tomato. 
  • Saute everything for 2 minutes, add slit green chillie and ginger, and coriander leaves.
  • Add water, salt, and finally samba rava (wheat rava). Mix everything and close the cooker. Wait for 2 whistles and remove from heat.
  • Serve hot with sugar or chutney.
