Carrot Poriyal
Ingredients:
- Carrot - 1/2 kg
- Onion - 1
- Channa dal or urud dal- 1 tbsp
- Chopped green chillies - 2
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - few
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Grate carrots and keep it aside.
- In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, channa dal and curry leaves.
- Now add onion and saute until it becomes transparent.
- Then add green chillies and grated carrot along with salt.
- Add very little water to cook ( 1/2 tumbler of water is enough).
- Cover the pan and cook it.
Cooking time: 20 minutes.
