Uppu seedai
Ingredients:
- Rice flour - 1 cup
- Urad dal - 2 tbsp
- Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
- White sesame seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Salt as required
- Oil for frying.
- Dry roast urad dal and powder it nicely.
- Dry roast coconut and sesame seeds, keep this aside.
- Sieve rice flour and urad dal flour together.
- In a bowl, add sieved flour, coconut, butter, sesame seeds, and salt. Mix it nicely. Add water little-by-little to form soft dough.
- Roll small balls and keep it aside for 1/2 hour.
- Heat oil in medium flame, fry seedai balls until it turns golden brown.
- Store seedai in airtight container.
