Poori & Kilangu/ Poori & Potato Masala
Poori
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour - 1 cup
- Salt as required
- Water to knead dough
- Rava - 1 tbsp(for crispness)
- Oil for frying
- Mix wheat flour, rava, salt with required water into a soft dough.
- Make small balls from the dough and spread it using rolling pin.
- Heat oil and deep fry poori.
Potato Masala
Ingredients:
- Potato - 3
- Onion - 1
- Green chillies - 1 or 2
- Urud dal - 1 tbsp
- Channa dal - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Curry leaves and Coriander leaves - few
- Salt as required
- Boil potatoes, peel off skin, and mash it nicely.
- Cut onion and cook it in water until it becomes transparent and soft.
- In a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, channa dal, urud dal, chopped green chillies, and curry leaves.
- Saute it for two minutes, then add cooked onion, finally mashed potatoes along with turmeric powder and salt.
- Add little water to get the gravy consistency.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes and serve it with hot pooris.
